Our 50th anniversary event was held on 24th June at St Ninians.

Around 40 members past and present, as well as family and guests, were present to celebrate this milestone. Norma was able to come in from Waikanae for the day, and we also welcomed Noeline Stubbs, who was one of the original committee members back in 1973.

Everyone enjoyed the display of photographs and plans that was put up around the hall, and the collection of publications (many by the Society) were well perused. There were also many old Stockades available to both read and take away. At midday we had a couple of short speeches followed by cake and some morning tea. An enjoyable morning for everyone, and here’s looking forward to many more celebrations to come.
