  • Photographs (one drawer) and

  • Miscellaneous materials (one drawer).

Accessing the material

In January 2006 The Karori Historical Society's collection returned to its original home in the re-built Karori Library, Main Road, Karori.

The collection is contained in 3 cabinets on the mezzanine floor of the library, with lift access available from the ground floor.

If you wish to access the cabinets, please sign the register at the information desk, and you will be shown the location of the cabinets. There is a comprehensive Finding List in a blue folder on top of the cabinets.

Access to the material is generally restricted to browsing and photocopying - a photocopier is available near the collection.  Permission to borrow items from the collection must be sought - contact names and telephone numbers are inside the front cover of the register.
